Spirit Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade
Project included an upgrade of the existing wastewater treatment facility including expansion of lagoon number 4, replacement of the disinfection system, replacement of existing irrigation system, modification to the headworks. Lagoon number 4 expansion included: removal and off-site disposal of the existing lagoon liner system, removal and disposal of existing inlet/outlet structures, clearing and grubbing, earthwork needed for construction of new lagoon, construction of drainage swales, hydroseeding, installation of new inlet/outlet lagoon structures, installation of new lagoon liner system, installation of lagoon depth gauge, construction of gravel road around lagoon dike, and installation of mooring anchors and electrical pedestals on the top of the dike. Installation of a new Headworks facility included: perforated plate screening system, installation of new headworks building, installation of a new headworks channel with flow meter, screens and required gates, grating and handrailing, installation of influent and effluent piping and all operator training and O&M information for the perforated plate fine screen and influent meter system.
