City of Priest River Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade
Project included the following:
Headworks:
New mechanical screen and grit channel, rehabilitation of existing screw pump and replacement of standby submersible lift pumps.
Aeration Basin Upgrade:
Lengthened concrete basin by 24 feet; installed two new vertical shaft aerators; installed new level control gates, boxes and handrails; installed DO control system.
Piping to Clarifiers:
Replaced piping between aeration basin and existing secondary clarifiers.
Clarifier Modifications:
Installed new 30-foot diameter clarifier; made modifications and rehabilitation of existing clarifiers.
Chlorine Contact Tank:
Installed new 21,000-gallon tank.
RAS/WAS Pump Station:
Converted existing chlorine tank into secondary sludge pumping station; installed three new RAS and two new WAS pumps; installed piping, valving, electrical and variable frequency drives for sludge pumps.
Sludge Holding Tank Aeration Improvements:
Installed new aeration system.
Sludge Dewatering:
Installed a one meter belt filter press and equipment; constructed a sludge dewatering building.
Yard and Piping Improvements:
Installed yard and piping improvements between treatment components.
Building and Lab Equipment Improvements:
Installed new roof for existing control room; provided new laboratory equipment.
Electrical, PLC Control, Instrumentation:
Installed electrical equipment, including: programmable logic control equipment, meters, analyzers and recorders, and a computer operating system.
Building Expansion for Electrical Control Room:
Constructed a new 28’ x 20’ building over the secondary sludge pump station.
Standby Generator:
Installed new standby generator.
Sidewalk, Parking and Landscaping:
Installed new sidewalks, parking area and landscaping improvements.
