James A Sewell & Associates, LLC, was retained in 2008 to review and modify the 2002 engineering report prepared by another engineering firm. After reviewing the document, we contacted the supplier of the original package treatment plant to verify the effluent values for the proposed modifications. It was discovered that the proposed changes would not provide the necessary effluent quality required by the permit. We contacted the City of Spokane, Wa., and Spokane County to determine if they would be willing to accept a tight line with raw sewage from the park, but they were not willing to do so. We are in the process of completing the engineering report addendum, which after evaluating a number of treatment options, determined that an Aeromod Sequox Plant would provide the most cost effective solution for the park’s needs now and for a future expansion.
