City of Spirit Lake Highway 41 Improvement Project
The Spirit Lake Highway 41 Improvement Project includes: rehabilitation and improvement of Highway 41 within the city limits from Madison to Massachusetts Streets. Specifics include: asphalt overlay of highway travel lanes, construction of center turn-lane to improve traffic flow and safety, construction of grassy infiltration swales on either side of the travel lanes, installation of a stormwater drainage system within the swales, construction of a concrete sidewalk on the east side of the highway right-of-way, construction of an asphalt bike/pedestrian path on the west side of the highway right-of-way, and installation of decorative street lighting for improved pedestrian/vehicle safety.
